Last week, senior housing developer, owner, operator, and advocate 2Life Communities welcomed an exhilarated crowd to the official groundbreaking celebration for Solimine House in Lynn. Scheduled for completion in fall 2027, the development will create 150 new apartments for area seniors, which will be 100% affordable to households with incomes up to 60% of the area median income. Additional rental subsidies will be available to support low- and extremely low-income seniors. The new community for adults age 62+ will be located at 500 Lynnfield Street, adjacent to Element Care headquarters and its Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) center.

Denise McQuaide has stepped into the role of Chief of Middle Market Innovation at 2Life Communities, a leading affordable senior housing developer, owner, operator, and advocate in the Greater Boston area. A 40-year veteran of healthcare, senior living operations, and community health services industries, McQuaide has served 2Life as a strategic advisor for four years, guiding its healthcare and housing integration approach. In this newly formed role, she will be responsible for 2Life’s overarching strategy for extending its mission to middle-market seniors, including Opus from 2Life Communities. Her background as a nurse practitioner with years of direct care experience combined with multiple leadership positions in hospitals, homecare agencies, and healthcare transitions makes McQuaide ideally suited to oversee innovation in the continuing care retirement community (CCRC) world.
